Medical Maximum was established in 2003. The management has many years background in the pharmaceutical industry and market as manager of a wholesale company.

In 2004 when Hungary became formal member of the European Union (EU) the demand from Western European countries for low price Hungarian medicines increased. The Hungarian price system (legislated by the Government) often means lower price for medicines than other countries.
